Keeping You Safe During Your Dental Appointment

Changes to Covid-19 Protocols

We are pleased to share with you some positive changes you will soon see in our practice as we continue to work towards reclaiming some sense of pre-pandemic normalcy.    These decisions are based on the fact that over half of Massachusetts residents have received the vaccine, as well as daily positive case rates having been consistently on the decline.  As the CDC and the state of Massachusetts continue to ease pandemic restrictions, we will do the same.  Of course we will continue to monitor the situation, relying on statistics and science to make adjustments as needed.

As long as new cases of Covid continue to decline, effective June 1, 2021 we will implement the following changes:

Prescreening – We will no longer send out an electronic prescreen form the day prior to your appointment.  When we call you to confirm your appointment two days prior, we will ask at that time if you have any symptoms.  In accordance with current CDC guidance, even if you have been vaccinated, we still require that you reschedule if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.

Arrival protocol – You will no longer be required to remain in your car upon arrivalSeating in our waiting room will be open once again to its full capacity.  If you are more comfortable remaining in your car however, you may continue to do so – just call when you arrive and we will have you into the office when the treatment room is ready.

Check in at front desk - When you check in at the front desk, you will be asked again to confirm that you symptom free, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer and your temperature will be taken with a digital, touchless forehead thermometer.  You may then take a seat in our waiting room until a staff member escorts you to a treatment room.

Please be aware we will continue to require that everyone who enters our office be wearing a mask fully covering their mouth and nose, again regardless of vaccination status.  We also ask that you practice social distancing as much as reasonably possible while in the office.

We truly appreciate the confidence you have shown in us by allowing us to provide you with dental care during this pandemic.  The health, safety and comfort of our patients and staff has always been our highest priority.  By continuing to stay diligent and follow the guidance set forth by the CDC, we will eventually get back to a more familiar way of life.

We welcome your feedback and look forward to seeing you in the office at your next appointment.
