Get to Know Our Weston Prosthodontist
Dr. Alaa Alwazzan is a board-certified prosthodontist in Weston with a special interest in comprehensive and esthetic dentistry as well as dental implants. He has been practicing dentistry since 2000. He is always eager to provide his patients with the highest level of dental care at the same time treating each patient as a family member.
Dr. Alwazzan moved to the United States from Budapest Hungary to pursue his studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his DMD and completed his specialty education in Prosthodontics and graduated with honors achieving a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master’s of Science degree in 2004 and 2005. He has a special interest in surgical implant dentistry; he was awarded a surgical implant training certificate from the Temple University via the Misch International Implant Institute.
Dr. Alwazzan enjoyed teaching from 2004 -2010. He served as full time assistant professor to the faculty at Tufts University in the post graduate Prosthodontics. As well as a clinical assistant professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and enjoyed lecturing at Tufts University Continuing Education Department, at local study clubs and Prosthodontics meetings.
Dr. Alwazzan is a diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontist, a member of the American Dental Association, member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, and member of the Board of Directors of the Prosthodontics Alumni Association at Tufts University.
Dr. Alwazzan is fluent in English, Hungarian and Arabic. He is a Celtics fan and follows all the New England sports teams. During his free time, he enjoys squash, traveling, and scuba diving. His greatest joy is his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Lilas, and their three young children, Larissa, Valentina and Noor.
