Resorbable membranes are dissolvable and usually made of collagen. It functions as a barrier between the jawbone and gum. Resorbable membranes are used in conjunction with procedures involving bone grafting. It keeps the gum from attaching to the bone and allows proper healing for dental implants. Resorbable membranes dissolve in a few days.
