Dental bridges replace one or more adjacent teeth. It can be a more affordable option for teeth replacement. Essentially, it has two dental crowns at each end with the replacement tooth or teeth in the center. Usually, the crowns are placed on existing teeth, which makes the procedure less invasive. However, some situations may require dental implants. The crowns are then permanently attached to the teeth or implants.

Why should I replace my teeth?

Replacing your teeth is more than cosmetic. Although you benefit from an attractive smile, replacing teeth improves your oral health. Missing teeth increase the chances of tooth decay, gingivitis, and periodontal disease in your mouth. You will prevent more dental work by simply replacing your teeth. Also, teeth replacement helps your other teeth to stay in place.

Why should I consider dental bridges?

Dental bridges may be a more affordable choice. They also do not slip since they are attached to your existing teeth or implants. You will be able to eat, drink, and speak naturally with a dental bridge.

How long is the process?

The procedure time can vary. Patients that need dental implants with their bridges will require more visits. The dental implants need to be inserted and completely heal before attaching the bridge. If a dental implant is needed, you will receive a temporary dental bridge until your dental implant has healed.
